This meeting will take place on Wednesday 15 January from 7-8 pm in Cardinal Newman Catholic College in Harlesden Road. It will be attended by the leader of the Council Mohammed Butt, the director of the environmental services Chris White, a Brent Council trees officer Gary Grimmer and Kensal Green Councillors.
As many of you might know Brent Council had planned to cut some mature trees on Furness Road. Many residents from Kensal Green and Harlesden objected strongly to this and as a result the trees were spared. As we are in a Climate Emergency situation, we need to plant new trees but we also need to keep mature trees as these are very important to clean up the air. A group called Brent Tree Defenders has organised a public meeting to discuss this issue with Brent Council.
